A fancy dress dip in the balmy waters of Lyme Bay

13.00 hours at the Sandy Beach, all for charity. Everyone
welcome, whether ‘dipping’ or contributing to our charity collection.

Charlie Wheeler
has been photographing the swans in the Abbotsbury Swannery for the
last 13 years, he will give us a photographic slideshow with lots of facts and
interesting
swan things as the year progresses, from setting up territories, nesting
building, eggs and cygnets right through to fledging cygnets at the end of the
year.
Organised
by U3A Heritage Coast Lyme Regis. Entry is free for U3A members;
for non-members a £2 donation is suggested.

SEASONAL FLOWER ARRANGING
Uplyme & Lyme Regis Horticultural Society kicks off 2019
with a demonstration of Seasonal Flower Arranging on Wednesday 23rd
January. Honiton-based florist Sarah Broom, who specialises in seasonal
workshops and all things floral, will create two flower arrangements to
cheer up January. She will also give professional tips to help those
entering the Horticultural Society summer show in July. The demonstration
commences at 7.30pm at Uplyme Village Hall. Teas and coffees are available
beforehand. Everyone is welcome; the event is free for members and £3 for
non-members.
